A Business tutor who's taught at the top - and worked in it
I’m a qualified Business Studies teacher (PGCE) with six years in the classroom – the last four in the Business and Economics department at Canford School, a leading independent school known for its exceptional results. Before teaching, I spent three years in the marketing team at the Kia Oval, and I’ve since co-founded Nonnie, an alcohol-free beer brand you may have come across locally. I also hold a Business Management degree from Newcastle University.
That combination of top-school teaching and genuine commercial experience means lessons go beyond the textbook. Students don’t just learn the theory – they see exactly how it plays out in a real marketing team and a real business I’ve built myself, which makes the subject far easier to engage with and remember.
How I support students
Sessions are tailored to each student, focusing on areas of weakness while reinforcing strengths.
There is a strong emphasis on exam technique, structured written answers, and building the confidence needed to perform under exam conditions.
I combine classroom teaching experience with real-world business insight to give students a clearer, more practical understanding of the subject - helping them not only learn the content, but apply it effectively in exams.
A structured, supportive approach to Business tuition
Every student learns differently, which is why my approach is structured, calm, and tailored to the individual.
I focus on helping students build confidence, understand key concepts clearly, and develop the exam technique needed to perform at a high level.
Students I work with typically see improvements in confidence, exam technique, and written structure within the first few weeks.
